Handy Person Wanted – Part-time, Self-Employed, £25/Hour
Join Cornerstone Property, a family-run business that provides quality housing in Bristol. We’re looking for a Handy Person for various maintenance tasks in the Bristol area. Work hours are flexible, averaging 5-10 hours weekly.
The job is to help with everything from quick repairs to regular maintenance,
The ticketing system allows you only to select jobs that you feel comfortable doing/want to do.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up accommodations for new residents (e.g., furniture assembly, bed setup, curtain hanging)
- Maintenance tasks: changing locks, taps, cutting keys
- Touch-up painting between tenancies
- Conducting condition/maintenance inspections
- General repairs: doors, windows, furniture, bathroom fittings
- Simple refurbishments and decorations as needed
- Assisting in an emergency maintenance situation
- Curtain rail installation
- Fixtures and fittings
- Picture and mirror hanging
- Re-sealing baths & showers
- Shelving and fitted furniture
- Small carpentry/building jobs, Minor plumbing jobs, Small electrical jobs
Invoice details:
- Job Type: Self-Employed
- Salary: £25 per hour (minimum 1-hour call out, then pro-rata)
- Full day: £160, Half day: £80 (by negotiation on project lots)
- Materials reimbursement: Submit receipts with your invoice to accounts@cpinvest.co.uk
- Include total labour and a separate line for materials
- Attach before-and-after job photos
- Follow the provided guidelines for jobs exceeding £200
- Use your vehicle and tools
- Communicate with tenants courteously for repair scheduling
- Respond promptly to maintenance tickets, ensuring efficient and quality service
